We LOVE our volunteers!

BWL keeps the costs low by using LOTS of volunteers. BWL families can sign up for their volunteer shift at Registration night in October.  The requirement is two half-days (3 hours) or one full-day (6 hours) per skier in the program. Volunteer spreadsheets will be posted here as the season nears...

Coaches are always needed and no racing experience is required. We are looking for helpful adults with a great attitude who like to work with kids and have a very good skiing ability. Coaches will be given training and will receive a discount off registration. Lift tickets will also be provided for BWL contact days and no additional volunteer commitment or deposit is needed. Please let us know if you are interested.

Junior Coaches are another great way for alumni of BWL (highschool students) to give back to our great program and stay connected with the BWL family.  Junior Coaches are paired with our youngest teams to help support the coaches with whatever is needed throughout the day and season.  We ask that they attend most contact days and all races for the benefit of their teams.

2018/19 Coaches & Junior Coaches Training is mandatory for all BWL coaches and junior coaches:

Off-Snow Training Tuesday, November 13 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Battle Mountain High School.  Dinner will be served.

On-Snow Training Saturday, December 3 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm at Beaver Creek.

Concussion Training is also required to comply with coaching standards C.R.S. 2543-101 through 103.  This is a free on-line course that coaches can complete any time before Off-Snow Training. Please forward certificate upon completion to BWL Adminitrator at This email address is being protected from spambots.
